What’s the job?

As the Programme Manager within the Technology Portfolio team you will be responsible for tracking the overall programme and the associated projects. This is to deliver the Stabilisation Programme which consists of a number of projects required to keep today’s services stable and compliant by taking opportunities to upgrade and also remove duplicate solutions. You will have end-to-end responsibility for the changes being implemented. Using the latest tools and technologies, you would execute a range of projects such as:-

  • Inbound and Outbound Customer Correspondence Systems
  • Modernisation of our core banking system
  • Stabilisation of our customer portals

The successful candidate would be working in the Change and Programmes directorate, which manages change across SLC in the shape of continuous improvement, projects and programmes. SLC is embarking on a new strategy to deliver its business objectives of being digitally enabled and operationally excellent. Central to this is the creation of a function to govern and deliver our strategy programmes; this is where the Programme Manager would be working.

Some of the key responsibilities: Stabilisation Programme: Manage projects to successfully deliver from initiation through to launch (and post go live warranty); Tracking the costs within the project; Alignment of different changes with the wider SLC estate; Assessment and Prioritisation of the projects to be delivered; Tracking and reporting progress to various levels of stakeholders; Management of various stakeholders (including various direct reports, 3rd party resources etc).
