£46,412 - £52,605 per annum

What’s the job?

To develop and lead teams of Application Development and Support staff to deliver project and operational support of SLC’s IT systems as required.  This work can be initiated from a number of different quarters; our external funding bodies - the devolved administrations, or from operational or strategic requirements. It could involve large and complex system change, managing large teams including 3rd party resources via delivery partner contracts. Prime focus in the initial months will be in progressing strategic solutions and evolving the capability and structure of the team within the new Target Operating Model to ensure the team are optimally positioned to maximise the value of the technology solutions underpinning the vital area of Outbound Communications.

How do I apply?

Successful candidates will be Higher Educated with IT qualification in a computer related discipline or solid demonstrable experience within IT.   Experience of working in an IT environment, with applications development delivery management or an applications support management role is essential.  Experience of Project Management Tools (MS Project, Mingle, Jira etc.) Experience of agile methods and techniques (eg. SCRUM, Kanban etc.) Experience in developing Outbound Communication system solutions based on Doc1 and Oracle product suites and the ability to focus on continuous improvement and developing strong working practices
