Salary: £30,902 - £34,716 (Grade 4)

What’s the job?

Verification Operations sits within the Repayment & Counter Fraud directorate and supports SLC’s core objective to increase repayments and safeguard the proper administration of the loan book.  This is achieved by verifying our customers are in the correct repayment channel and administering loan cancellation in line with student loan regulation.

The post-holder will work closely with their Team Manager team through leading, supporting and developing them; thus enabling them to provide an effective and efficient service for their staff and delivering 121’s, coaching and performance reviews.

The Operations Manager will integrate and sustain a high performance culture underpinned by Lean methodology, focussed on increasing capacity, improving customer experience, enhancing staff engagement and improving business processes.

Other responsibilities will include: building and maintaining effective working relations with various stakeholders; maintaining a wide ranging level of repayment knowledge to provide guidance and direction; helping in the delivery of resource so there are correct staffing levels and SLAs are met; managing the overtime budget.
