What’s the job?

You will be responsible for all aspects of the services built and maintained within either apply, assess, pay or repaying student finance, overseeing prioritisation and implementation of user needs of core policy and project activity via the Product Managers into the relevant services. Furthermore you will be tasked with the creation and management of continuous improvement roadmaps for digital services that is aligned with the company strategy and provides high business value early. You will work collaboratively with the product managers, stakeholder working groups, the user experience team and the technology group to develop upcoming enhancements, ensuring a consistent and high quality user experience. As Lead Product Manager you will manage and lead the team of product managers who direct the delivery of the component parts of SLC systems.

How do I apply?

You will have a proven background in the delivering and management of high quality, ground-breaking digital products in large organisation with complex rules and regulations i.e. Financial or public sectors coupled with experience of product management with a track-record for shipping and evolving great digital products by working with multiple teams in an agile delivery setting. Furthermore you will have experience of creating, maintaining and prioritising roadmaps to direct the work of delivery teams through all phases of delivery – from discovery to live service, assessing products and services and giving constructive feedback and guidance on priorities and improvements, experience of testing concepts and engaging using user groups and a practical understanding of Agile delivery techniques. You will also be able to utilise your proven People Management skills to Setting, monitoring and reporting measurable performance targets for teams and products.
