What’s the job?

The Database and Mid Tier Team is part of Infrastructure Services supporting the Oracle Database and Mid Tier estate, together with JBoss Mid Tiers and SQL Server databases. This post is one of9 Analysts who work together with 4 Senior Analysts reporting to the Team Manager.

How do I apply?

We require someone to configure, support and maintain the Oracle Database estate that underpins the Applications providing internet facing systems to UK students and Education Authorities.  You will also configure, support and maintain the Oracle Application Server and JBoss estate whilst develop and maintain documentation in line with SLC standards.

Support and assistance to other ICT internal and external partners both for BAU and Projects is essential, and taking responsibility for the security and safety of all SLC Database and Midtiers under your remit, you will also be required to monitor the systems and assist in putting in place appropriate alerts and remedial action to prevent unscheduled downtime and implement database changes as part of the normal software release cycle from Development through to Production.
