What’s the job?
We are looking for a Data Analyst to join our Data Services and Analysis department on a permanent basis, working 09:00-17:30, Monday to Friday with flexi-work options, 36 days annual leave and various other SLC benefits. You will join the team in creating reports for the SLC operational departments, helping them to gain both operational reporting & insight into the data through the provision of ad-hoc MI. Your support plays a key role in promoting continuous improvement & enhancing the strategy of the SLC Internal Stakeholders.
You will predominantly be responsible for the preparation of requested reports using data obtained on a self service basis using the Microstrategy BI tool or from datasets contained in the source systems, and you will be expected to understand the data available via Microstrategy. Sometimes you will explain data to internal SLC users who want to use it to obtain their own reports. You will take part in peer Quality Assurance and will be able to flag up any data quality issues identified during analysis work to the DS&A Strategy & Data Accessibility team.
How do I apply?
It is essential that you have the ability to gather, understand and analyse complex data with experience in using Microsoft Excel to identify trends and expectations and to present data effectively with written commentary. You will have a high lever of accuracy, numeracy and attention to detail. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills in using Business Intelligence tools such as Microstrategy, and previous experience in this would be beneficial to you.
