Customer Service Advisor


Start Dates for this position:       Monday 25th March and Monday 1st April 2019

Salary: £16,378 (up to £18,425 with maximum shift allowance) + excellent employee benefits: i.e. flexi-time, 36 days holiday allowance and a generous pension scheme

Permanent positions (these are Customer Service roles; there are no sales or up-selling through service)


Recruitment Process:

  • Stage one: We’ll accept applications up to Friday 15th February 2019 and will conduct telephone screening interviews after receiving applications.
  • Stage two: Assessment Centres will start on Tuesday 19th February 2019 and will run over 4 weeks.

Due to growth within the business we have a number of permanent, full-time opportunities for people with strong customer service experience to join our team within the Darlington contact centre. 

  • What we do

We provide loans to support students across the UK that help them cover their living costs, as well as loans for their tuition fees. 

  • What does this role involve?

We are looking for positive people to support our business and provide quality customer service within a fast-paced and innovative contact centre environment. You will provide a professional and courteous level of telephone assistance to our customers helping them with any queries they have about their student finance. You will be confident to learn how to use a number of different computer systems that you would update daily on each call.

  • What are the working hours & salary?

These roles are permanent with pre-defined, fixed-shifts within our opening hours of Monday - Friday (8am-8pm), and Saturday - Sunday (9am-4pm). The shifts are stable and don’t change from week to week, thus you can plan your life around the working shifts.

We offer a competitive salary of £16,378 (up to £18,425 with maximum shift allowance) + excellent employee benefits.


How do I apply?

It is essential you are passionate about customer service with proven customer service experience, you must be happy to work on a computer and to work towards meeting and achieving objectives. Adaptability to change and the ability to learn on the job are also important.

You will have excellent communication skills with a ‘Can do’ attitude; enjoy being part of a team and resolving customer queries.

You must have an eye for detail and have the ability to retain and interpret information to provide it in a way the customer will understand.

You will need to be available to start training on either Monday 25th March or Monday 1st April 2019 and you will need to be fully available during the initial 5 week training period after your start date.

During training you will work standard office hours, Monday to Friday. Once finished training you will go into your allocated shift pattern.
