As a Customer Advisor for SLC, you will work in our modern offices in Glasgow City Centre, surrounded by local amenities and with great public transport links. We have a cafe, an indoor seating area, a sun deck and an in-house Learning Academy to support your journey with SLC.
What’s the job?
You will be part of a large team of Contact Centre Advisors providing information, help and guidance to our internal and external customers. You'll provide a professional and polite level of telephone assistance when dealing with enquiries, and you'll work accurately to ensure any investigation or processing tasks are completed in accordance with departmental work instructions and within set timescales.
This is a high volume in-bound contact centre, demanding the ability to provide an effective and professional approach to handling incoming customer contact. You will respond to a variety of tasks within your department and you'll be expected to adhere to departmental targets.
Excellent training is provided to ensure you feel confident, fully informed and ready to succeed.
Permanent full time positions, 37.5 hours per week. Opening hours are Monday-Friday 8am-8pm, weekends 9am-4pm, and our variety of fixed shift patterns available cover these opening times including day-shift, evening shifts and weekend work. Your shift pattern will dictate your salary.

How to apply?
It is essential you have face to face and/or telephone customer service experience within a customer focused environment. You'll be computer literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft packages, e-mail and a willingness to train and become adept on SLC’s internal systems.
You must have good verbal communication and written skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers.
Training will commence from your start date and you will need to be fully available during the initial 5 week training period.
During training, your hours of work will be Monday – Friday, 9am – 5.30pm and thereafter you will start your allocated shift pattern.
