£40,096 - £46,412 (Grade 5)

Full time, permanent role (Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:30)

What’s the job?

Student Loans Company’s Counter Fraud Services are looking for a Manager to have accountability and responsibility for all Operational aspects of fraud risk management across SLC, providing expert advice and guidance to enable all key areas of the business to minimise the risk of fraud.

The successful Manager will provide leadership and oversight to the Fraud team and will be expected to achieve agreed business objectives and key performance targets. They will use their knowledge and experience to develop an investigative capability that ensures continuous improvement and refines the reporting capability. In turn this will illustrate performance and progress made in the reduction of Fraud.

Some of the key skills, responsibilities and experience needed for this role include:

  • Implementing fraud operational processes, with demonstrable experience of strategic and operational decision making and delivering outcomes.
  • The ability to work with multiple teams on a variety of tasks, to confidentially communicate at all levels, displaying leadership qualities (motivating, engaging, influencing etc) and building relationships.
  • Significant investigative experience across multiple channels and demographics.
  • Analytical expertise, being able to solve problems and generate outcomes to drive efficiencies; using sharp numerical and literacy skills. Being able to communicate findings in a number of ways to a number of different audiences.
