What’s the job?
You will develop and maintain Commercial systems and toolsets to support the Commercial Services activity and team, minimise manual administrative tasks, streamline processes, and improve management information and efficiency.
You will investigate options for new ways of working and systems to help drive the strategic development of Commercial Services (with support from the Commercial Governance and Supplier Strategy as required). This will feed into the development of a Procurement Systems Strategy which will be led by the Commercial Manager (Governance) with support from the Commercial Specialist (Systems & Reporting). They will support the implementation and thereafter the maintenance & development of any new approved systems and toolsets.
Additionally you will also support the implementation (where required) and maintenance of the new ERP system from a Commercial Services perspective providing guidance and mentoring to the Commercial Officer (P2P Support).
Furthermore you will contribute to the development of the Commercial Performance Measurement Framework (working with the Commercial Governance and Supplier Strategy Manager) and following approval, be accountable for the production and reporting of the agreed performance measures/KPI’s on a regular basis.
In addition to this, you will also have responsibility for developing and implementing a Commercial Services Communication Strategy. This also will include enhancing and maintaining the Commercial Intranet and external facing websites ensuring that the content is relevant, fresh and informative for internal and external stakeholders and at the standards expected of a modern and progressive organisation.
Finally, you will provide guidance and advice on procurement systems and toolsets as required and deliver training primarily to Commercial Services colleagues.
How do I apply?
You will have experience of supporting and developing commercial/procurement systems and toolsets within a large / complex organisation preferably within a Public Sector environment. Furthermore you will also have experience of developing and reporting on Commercial Key Performance Indicators coupled with good procurement systems knowledge e.g. ERP systems, eSourcing, SRM tools, experience of developing improvements to communication channels and maintaining and developing web-sites.
Ideally you will have good stakeholder management and influencing skills with the ability to deliver to strict deadlines and targets, utilising your good written and verbal communication skills, good attention to detail and accuracy skills and good mentoring and coaching skills.
