What’s the job?
Software Delivery comprises roughly 400 permanent and partner staff within the Technology Group. It is responsible for the development and support of software solutions covering all of SLCs offerings from the application process, through assessment to payment and ultimately repayment.
In addition to support and general enhancements the team delivers a strategic and policy change programme worth approximate £25 million per year. The systems and platforms managed by the team handle over 1.5 million applications per year, make payments of over £15 billion annually and allow for the management of a loan book of in excess of £100 billion.
The Business Systems Analyst will gather and analyse system requirements/stories and design solutions for a range of internal SLC services and products, support live system(s) involving defect analysis, prioritisation and solution design. The Business Systems Analyst will also represent software delivery to stakeholders and stakeholder interests within software delivery along with collaborating on solution design within and between multidisciplinary technical teams.
How do I apply?
Successful candidates will have a degree or other higher education qualification in a numerate discipline and/or equivalent experience within a commercial IT environment, Experience working as a business analyst (or equivalent role) in a commercial IT environment, Experience of the full product lifecycle, Flexible approach to meeting the demands of the service, Familiarity with digital and web service solutions, Excellent communication skills with the experience working at all levels of an organisation.
The ability to rationalise complex information and make it understandable to a range of stakeholders – the ability to explain technology to the business and the business to technologists, Demonstrable persuasion and influencing skills, Excellent workshop, meeting, facilitation, communication and presentations skills, Experience in defect analysis in support of live systems
