What’s the job?
Business Architects play the leading role in architecting compelling services for customers and internal users. They determine the supporting business architecture and capabilities needed for each stage of customer and internal user journeys. As a Business Architect, you will be recognised as an experienced authority in business design. You will be responsible for executing high quality Business Design in collaboration with cross-functional teams including UX, Customer Data Analytics, Operations, Repayments and Counter Fraud, Customer Communications and Technology Group.
You will work in a project-based environment but will also be able to take a strategic view across projects, advising the business and other partners how best to define projects that align with strategic goals, as well as supporting the delivery of those projects.
You will contribute directly to the delivery of SLCs corporate objectives by supporting the business to define and govern SLC’s Customer Service Design Blueprint and Customer Roadmap.
How do I apply?
You will bring with you relevant experience of Digital Service Design and Delivery in either the public or private sector, including business process change, user experience change, balancing user needs with business objectives and linking business and technical strategy. You will also have proven experience of building and maintaining strong relationships with a business community, understanding their goals and objectives in order to represent their needs during the delivery lifecycle. You should have a background of working in a complex stakeholder environment and working collaboratively to manage conflicting demands.
You will possess excellent communication skills to build and maintain effective working relationships across organisation and with external SLC stakeholders, including at a senior level.
It would be beneficial if you had experience of Government Digital Service Standards and Service Manual and of regulatory and legislative issues around Service Design, including accessibility and GDPR and experience of applying Agile and Enterprise Design Thinking would also be desirable.
